The community of Chilliwack, Canada, and the wider circle of family and friends both locally and abroad are mourning the heartbreaking and untimely passing of Charlie Beirne, who tragically lost his life following a camping accident. Formerly of Knockvicar, Boyle, County Roscommon, Charlie’s sudden death has left a deep void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
Charlie Beirne will be remembered as a devoted fiancé, a loving father, a cherished son, and a loyal friend. His passing is felt most deeply by his heartbroken fiancé, Taylor, who shared a life filled with love, laughter, and dreams for the future with him. Together, they built a family centered on warmth and devotion, raising their adored son, Shae, who was the light of Charlie’s life. Their beloved dog, Nala, also formed part of the close-knit family unit that Charlie held so dear.
Born and raised in Knockvicar, Boyle, County Roscommon, Charlie carried his Irish roots with pride even after making his home in Chilliwack, Canada. He remained deeply connected to his family and heritage, always valuing the importance of kinship, friendship, and community. Charlie was a cherished son of Cathal and Anne Beirne, who now face the unimaginable pain of losing a child. He was also a dearly loved brother to Kelly and Eimhear, sharing a lifelong bond filled with memories, support, and affection.
Charlie’s extended family circle was one of great importance to him. He was warmly embraced by Taylor’s parents, Kristen and Mike Walker, as well as her siblings Payton and Marcus, with whom he shared a close and meaningful relationship. He was a proud and loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews—Monica, Amari, Marely, Oliver, Tristan, Olivia, Ava, Amelia, and Ace—each of whom brought joy to his life and will carry his memory forward.
Beyond his family, Charlie leaves behind a wide circle of friends and neighbours who will remember him for his kindness, generosity, and easygoing nature. He had a way of making people feel welcome and valued, leaving a lasting impression wherever he went. His sense of humor, warm personality, and genuine spirit made him someone people were naturally drawn to, and his absence will be deeply felt within the community.
The tragic circumstances of Charlie’s passing serve as a reminder of how precious and fragile life can be. While the loss is profound, those who knew Charlie will continue to honor his memory by cherishing the moments they shared with him and by supporting one another during this incredibly difficult time.
At present, funeral arrangements are yet to be announced and will be shared at a later date. The family has kindly requested privacy during this period of grief, with the house remaining strictly private at all times. The Beirne and Walker families have expressed their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of sympathy, support, and understanding they have received.
Charlie Beirne’s life, though tragically cut short, was filled with love, connection, and meaning. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
May he rest in peace.
