The Minerva, Ohio community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Taylor Ashtyn Kelly, age 34, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after bravely facing cancer. Her life was marked by resilience, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to the people she loved most.

Born in Canton, Ohio, Taylor was the beloved daughter of Rhonda (Stowe) Zeedrich and Tyler Zeedrich of Minerva. Her strength was evident from a young age, as she first battled cancer at just 4 years old and again a little over a year later. Despite these early health challenges, Taylor grew into a remarkable woman whose kindness and determination inspired everyone around her.

Taylor served as the School Nurse for Osnaburg Local School District in East Canton through the Stark County Health Department. Caring for others was not just her profession—it was her true calling. After graduating from Minerva High School in 2010, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University in 2014.

While working toward her nursing degree at Aultman College of Nursing, Taylor served as a STNA at Aultman Hospital. She later worked as a Registered Nurse at Salem West Healthcare Center and Arbors at Minerva before finally landing her dream job as a school nurse. In that role, she became a trusted source of comfort and care for countless students and staff members.

On September 4, 2021, Taylor married Jacob Kelly, the love of her life. Together they welcomed their daughter, Meara Faye, on November 25, 2022. Becoming a mother brought Taylor immense happiness. She loved planting flower gardens with her daughter, affectionately calling her “MearKat,” and spending time “tuddling” together while watching movies.

She also cherished her two ragdoll cats, Lily and Nugget, along with her beloved corgi, Zephyr. Taylor enjoyed reading, video games, art, and crocheting—simple passions that reflected her warm, creative, and joyful personality.

Taylor was preceded in death by her cousin, Storm Angione; grandfather, Matthew Zeedrich; and grandparents, Barry and Sharon Stowe. She is survived by her husband, Jacob; daughter, Meara; parents, Tyler and Rhonda Zeedrich; brothers Quade Zeedrich (Lacy) and Zane Zeedrich (Ellie Haverstock); grandmother, Penny Zeedrich; and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
